โญThis Week's Highlights
Calendar Event Creation ๐
No more need to switch to Google Calendar for event management. Weโve added extensive features for creating and managing calendar events within OFFLIGHT. With this update, you can now view RSVP responses, and the event layout changes accordingly.
New Features ๐
- Create calendar events (add participants, location, online meetings)
- Change the account used for event creation
- Change calendar event colors
- Set calendar visibility and busy status
- Calendar RSVP (event layout changes based on responses)
Notes ๐โโ
- Double-click or drag to create an event in the desired time slot.
- Unfortunately, the auto-complete feature for event participants is not yet available.
- The features are all ready, but weโre still waiting for Googleโs approval. (Itโs been over two weeks since we requested it. Come on, Google, please hurry up!)
Client App ๐ป
A frequent feedback from user interviews was the difficulty of finding OFFLIGHT among numerous open tabs in Google Chrome, making it hard to revisit. Many users requested a client app to solve this issue, and today, weโve finally added it.

๐ฌ Behind the Scenes
- After four weeks of preparation, the calendar event creation feature has finally been deployed. This improvement project was led by Jay from start to finish. Kudos to Leuo for the fantastic design and Jay for the implementation.
- The client app development project saw tremendous efforts from Roy, Nick, and Luke. Special thanks to Nick and Luke for their work on Apple login development, and to Roy for handling both OS platforms simultaneously.
- From Wednesday to Friday this week, weโll be on a 2-night, 3-day workshop. We hope to have great conversations and become an even better maker team.
